Jon suggested we get away for the weekend so we went to visit his mom and dad in Hurricane, UT. The kids slept the whole 4 hour drive. Jon and I listened to music and talked.
Aidan at the Sand Dunes in Snow Canyon. The kids were in heaven in this huge "sandbox."
Jon and his parents relaxed and thought up ideas for a bed with sand instead of a mattress, or a "sand room" in the house.
Aidan and Mikell really wanted balloons and bubbles. The kids had fun playing with all of Grandma Jane's interesting, cool toys.
Here we are at a Mom and Pop joint in Hurricane for breakfast. We had french toast. There was a pecan orchard there and Aidan, Mikell, Mom, and I hunted for pecans on the ground.
We gathered tons, enough to make a pie! It was delicioso.
We drove to Zion National Park and went on a hike to the beginning of the Narrows. Other trip highlights: In-N-Out, Pirate Island pizza joint, Horton Hears a Who, a tour of cool sites around St. George, and most of all, spending time with fun, sweet, patient, generous and caring grandparents. We love you guys! Thanks for a great weekend!
